Never Saw It Coming, based on Barclay's 2011 bestseller, is now filming in Sudbury.
Canadian actress Emily Hampshire and American actor Eric Roberts head the cast of a new film based on a Linwood Barclay bestseller.
Never Saw It Coming is now shooting in Sudbury, based on Barclay’s 2011 book about a psychic who parts troubled families from their money and gets entangled with a man whose wife has gone missing and who has dark secrets.
Gail Harvey, who has directed numerous Canadian TV series as well as the documentary Rickie Lee Jones: The Other Side of Desire, is directing. Barclay, a former columnist for the Toronto Star, wrote the screenplay.
Hampshire (12 Monkeys, Schitt’s Creek) stars as psychic Keisha Ceylon. Roberts (Lost Girl, CSI, Heroes) plays Wendell Garfield, whose wife Ellie (Diane D’Aquila) has gone missing. Katie Boland, Harvey’s daughter, also co-stars as Garfield’s daughter.
The aim is for Never Saw It Coming to be finished by late summer, in time for fall film festivals.
